Best Match:
Williams d. Sharapova - Wimbledon SF
(agreed, though Williams d. Davenport was historic)

Worst Match:
Too many to count - just top few
Karantancheva d. Williams - FO 2nd???
Henin d. Kutnetsova - FO 4th
Venus losing to the 15 year was just plain scary
Sharapova allowing herself to get double-bagelled: even more scary

Best Player:
Kim Clijsters - Only top 4 player to win a Slam
agreed!

Worst Player:
Karantancheva - that girl should not be in the top 100
too many to name, but one can't help but think of the much discussed Alex Stevenson

Best Performance:
Haynes - Wimbledon
Peng taking out a red-hot Clijsters

Worst Performance:
Sharapova - IW
no argument there

Best Tournment:
Wimbledon
it's the most prestigious tennis tournament for a reason

Worst Tournmant
Anyone that Clijsters won
French Open - Too many bad matches
(Antwerp for me, Venus misses the diamond racket)

Best Choke:
Clijsters d. Sharapova - USO Let Maria get back into that match, she should of won, but it made it a match
Davenport just giving in during the final set of the Aus Open

Worst Choke:
Henin d. Kutnetsova FO - Match points wasted - Maria could of beat Kutnetsova
Mauremso beats Venus at Antwerp

Well, there are a lot of matches I didn't get to see (including the semifinals and final of the U.S. Open, because of hurricane problems), and several I don't remember that easily. But of what I do recall:

Best Match: Mauresmo def. Pierce, Tour Championships

Worst Match: AO final

Best Player: Mary Pierce

Worst Player: I'd probably go with Sesil here, but I still think the potential is there.

Best Performance: Peng def. Clijsters, San Diego

Worst Perfornace: I would have said Davenport in the AO final, but I now believe she was a victim of heat/overplay exhaustion. So I'd say Davenport in her U.S. Open quarterfinal with Dementieva; there was no excuse for that.

Best Tournament: Wimbledon

Worst Tournament: No vote here

Best Choke: Can't get into that concept

Worst Choke: Probably Henin-Hardenne def. Kuznetsova, from everything I heard, and from following the score on the Web, but I didn't see it. Of the matches I saw, the worst choke was Ivanovic def. Mauresmo, FO.

For some reason, I forgot about the FO final; that was godawful. I put it in a tie with the AO final. And I guess I have to put Kim's overall performance over Mary's, now that I remember that disaster.
