Seems Hingis and Sharpova practiced together this summer

I have said on this board before that my private coach travels every summer to New York and teaches in the Hamptons until the US open when he travels to Flushing. The he heads back to Alabama. My coach is very well respected. At the open he hits with players every year. In the past he has hit with Agassi, Hingis, both sisters, Fernando Gonzalez and this summer he worked with Srebotnik. I am saying all this so that what I am about to tell you has some credability.....

While in the Northeast he drove down with Gene and Sandy Mayer (former French open champs in dubs) to watch some practice sessions before the open. According to my coach (you can choose whether or not to believe it but I assure if it came form my coaches mouth and it has to do with tennis its true), Hingis and Sharapova played a practice set with Hingis winning 6-0! He said Sharapova was ripping every ball and Hingis was playing her game, moving Maria and forcing her into akward positions. He also said that Hingis utilized her drop shot very nicely. Now, I know that this was just a practice set but I still find it very interesting that Hingis, who has been away for so long, can bagel a world top 3 player who was contending for every major played in 2005. Seems like Martina still has what it takes. Can't wait to see what tricks she has added to her bag when she comes back

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

I would not be surprised it this were true, if you're not on when playing Martina cuz she is so daym consistent, it could get ugly...ie Venus at the Oz '2000, that was just unbearable to watch for Venus, and i'm a Hingis fan!!

Martina Hingis 4ever!!!

Now and forever, I'll remember.
