HINGIS(SUI) def HAUNTCHOVA(SLO) 7-5 6-4

Isin't it sweet revenge that Martina managed to triumph over Hauntchova again!!! It's so good that both players put a tremendous amount of effort in, but Hingis came out as the champion.

7-5 6-4!!!!!

Thumbs up Marti wins! bottom line...

Congrats Marti on a well deserved win....sounds like it was a great match, so both players put up a good effort!! The close ones are "sweeter"!!

Hi Countess,
Must have been a great win by Martina, and I'm disappointed I didn't get to see the match.
A question though, what did you mean when you said the above comment, about Martina winning over Daniela again?.

Isn't it only the second time they've played, and everyone knows what happened the first time.....so am I incorrect in saying that your AGAIN comment is wrong???

Anyway, Well done to both girls.....and Daniela proved to me that she is improving everyday on clay, and the scoreline showed that. The match could have gone to a third quite easily.

It is Hantuchova. And, yes, this is only the second time they have played each other. I am sure they are going to have many more matches against each other. (Secretly, I do love to watch my taped match of the final in IW)
Martina, good luck against Venus.

And it's SLV not SLO.

Better luck next time, Daniela...

I'm glad to see Martina in the semis. Congrats, Marti. I hope she can beat Venus.

GO MARTINA!!

I just wish her advancing wasn't at the expense of DANI...
