Congratulations Myskina

I was just thinking that she deserves a lot of respect for putting the brakes on what could have been a career threatening slump.

given how she was performing in the first half the year (due a number of factors) i think she showed real guts and determination after Roland Garros, especially at Wimbledon. finishing in the top 15 in the race was a great effort in my opinion.

she's still not back to her best but she's getting there. Well done!!

I'm not her biggest fan but i think she's a great girl!! Amjo Nastya!!

i'll throw my hat in the ring on this too. I'm not a special fan of Nastya's game but she represents womens tennis very well.

yes...she proved she wasn't a fluke. she was really going through a hard time, like she said. at first i assumed it was an excuse, but she is very talented. she didn't beat many big names this year except dementieva, but still...i'm glad she turned her season around.

ROCK ON:
elena dementieva, serena williams, caroline wozniacki, ana ivanovic
david nalbandian, rafael nadal, andy murray, gael monfils, jo-wilfried tsonga

well said i agree myskina is a good hardworking trier their are so many bums on tour who would have layed down and died but she has picked herself up like a true champ. When i met her at wimbledon i asked her for an autograph she swore at me,shut a gate in my face and stormed off and i've loved her since i wish her every good luck in 2006

I agree. I was harsh on her earlier in the year, but she is a strong player and more importantly, a stronger person.

I hope she comes back healthy for 2006!

Amen to that. After the French Open loss, things must have been awful for her, even in Eastbourne...she was still there signing for everyone and smiling, even after her loss

Her year turned around after Wimbledon, some amazing fighting performances there, especially against Jankovic and Demetieva.

She's done well.

Women's tennis sucks.

Go Rafa.

Completely agreed. I have a new found respect for Nastya. And I think we're going to be seeing her back in the top 5 again by Rolland Garros.
