What players can learn from kiki: losing gracefully

"I’m not disappointed because it was great for me to reach a final after so long," Sprem said. "I haven’t had a very good year, so for me to do well here it gives me a lot of confidence and makes me believe I can get back to where I was in 2004. I don’t think I did too much wrong today; Anastasia was just too good me, and she deserved to win. I think maybe I was rushing to finish the points too quickly, but that was because she forced me into playing this way."

ugh, why do they all suck????????

I'm sorry don't mean to be mean to K-lina but since the thread starter needs to put other players down to make K-lina's remark seem somehow more I must point out that it's a lot easier to be gracious when you know you are not the best player and was only "hoping" to win as oppose to knowing you should win.

Thank you There are too many players (and posters) who just think that you´re only losing to Myskina when you hit too many unforced errors. It´s maybe not the coolest and most beautiful way to play, but at least it´s an efficient game plan against hardhitters.

where did this thread starter "put other players down to make K-lina's remark seem somehow more"???

another thing-- i don't know where you come from or how you were raised, but GRACE is not a conditional quantity. you can't say-- it's easier to be raceful here, here, and here-- ergo, we can excuse ungraceful behavior here, here, and here. it's just a retarded argument, plain and simple. but i don't know why i'm surprised

definitely nice comments but it would be interesting to see her reaction if she was routed in the final after playing like she did last year.

i used to find Sprem annoying because of the associated over the top hype she got but now that has died down she has grown on me and i hope she gets things back on track.

Amjo K-lina!! (lol that's the first time i've ever called her that)

Maybe Myskina learned from Sprem when she beat Sprem. Myskina learned how to win and Sprem learned how to lose gracefully. Nobody actually lost this match.
