Thatīs because it always rains like s*** there.

Clay is a typical outdoor surface and during the clay season, the weather is usually good (that is as long it isnīt Berlin). Besides Tennis is an outdoor sport and clay indoors is just weird

Also you have to build a clay court into a stadium first for just one week (as I donīt assume it will stay there all the time) and thatīs expensive as well as there will be a problem with the structure of the clay, maybe misbounces or whatever. I am sure thereīs a logical reason for it,.

Hey, Berlin has good weather every year

This year we had a range of 10° up to 40° - Isn't that awesome?!?

This tennis tourney is even worth a visit for Weather-People!

Guess what? I know! The more stupid it was that I went from Thursday till Sunday so I enjoyed the 10 degrees very much! Thanks After that I took the train to Hamburg and I think it was even colder! Came home and had a cold...well, it was worth it

Sometimes I felt like I was in the movie Independence Day...you know where the UFO comes into town and shoves all the clouds away?!?

I think there will be sooner or later; you'd be surprised at how many indoor clay courts are being laid across Europe at the moment.

Just imagine great wheather, the sunīs shining and everything...people who are not die-hard tennis fans wouldnīt want to pay tickets to sit in a indoor stadium all day long. I think thatīs part of this discussion.

You should have visited the tourney in 2004 and 2005 then

I am still longing for the summer of 2003...I love hot weather, hate darkness, rain and everything that comes along with it

Come on, if the players can endure running around in this environment, the crowd should too

One thing I hate about outdoor tourneys on clay...the slightest hint of rain, makes the people go open their damn family sized umbrellas and they donīt care at all about the people sitting behind them.

I was so brown,my skin was so tanned after summer,to stay under sun with players from 10.00 to 21.00 is something
