Beau of Kournikova's mom a courtly baron
There are many secrets about retired tennis tart and commercial pitchwoman Anna Kournikova
. She may or may not be hitched to Latin heartthrob crooner Enrique Iglesias
. She may, or not, return to tennis. She once was engaged to former Panthers skater Pavel Bure
, or not.
Now this shocker, and it's not a maybe: The smashing Russian has a new little brother.
Anna's mom, Palm Beacher Alla Kournikova
, has tried her darnedest to keep it quiet -- but the issue is about to explode in a Palm Beach County court case.
hears the boy's name is Alan
; he was born in September; his daddy is 42-year-old Alla's live-in, Palm Beach opera patron Baron Michael Moog de Medici
. The Slavic blueblood's claim to fame: In 1989, he married a now-deceased socialite 58 years older, Helen Cosgrove
, the multimillionaire widow of long-ago Manalapan mayor Randolph Osborn.
Moog's current living arrangements with Alla -- who may, or may not, still be married to Anna's dad, Soviet-era wrestling coach Sergei Kournikova
-- are being cited in a court petition to change a custody arrangement for another child that Moog had with ex-wife Martina Moog
The petition alleges that Michael's "volatile" relationship with Alla is negatively affecting 6-year-old Alex Moog
, and that Michael, 40, is leaving his duties as Alex's primary caretaker to nannies.
"We have a beautiful relationship," the baron told Page Two
about Alla, denying the petition's claim of frequent "verbal and physical altercations."
Michael's lawyer, Howard Rudolph
, called the petition frivolous, while Martina's lawyer, Cathy Lively
, said: "My client is just looking out for the best interests of the child."
Michael and Martina were divorced here in 2002. At one point, according to court filings, Martina was accused of taking Alex to her native Germany without permission. A German court ordered the child returned to Michael, while Martina stayed in her homeland to settle her immigration status. She recently came back to town and works on a local casino boat.
"Now that I'm establishing a stable life here, I want Alex back," Martina told Page Two
. "As for Alla, I know I was proud when I was pregnant with Alex. I wanted to tell everybody. I can't imagine why she'd want to keep her child a secret."
The Rolls-driving baron, worth $4.5 million according to court papers, also is asking Martina for child support.
