My 2004 WTA Champs Statistics

There have been lots of debates about the 2004 Season-ending Championships, so I was curious to see what the statistics are for the tournmament. I made the stats on averages of matches played. I then gave points out to determine who played the best, on average. Just read and enjoy.

Svetlana Kuznetsova with 53.7 (1 pt.)

Here is the tally of points to determine who played the best, overall.

Lindsay Davenport with 58 pts.
Amelie Mauresmo with 56 pts.
Serena Williams with 55 pts.
Maria Sharapova with 55 pts.
Anastasia Myskina with 45 pts.
Svetlana Kuznetsova with 43 pts.
Elena Dementieva with 25 pts.
Vera Zvonareva with 23 pts.

There are a couple things to take from this point tally: #1) Obviously, Lindsay, Amelie, Serena, and Maria outplayed Anastasia, Svetlana, Elena, and Vera. #2) Elena and Vera do not deserve to be pronounced in the same sentence as anybody else in the 2004 WTA Tour Championships. They're not in the same league as the others.

I don't think you should give Vera 8 points for most unforced errors

Why does Serena get 8 points for having the most double faults? She should get the lowest amount of points, same with the UE collum

Double Faults and Unforced Errors are calculated through least-most. Serena has 8 points in the Double Faults category because she had the least Double Faults.
