Dulko will next No.9 seed Anastasia Myskina, another player that suffered an injury in her third round match. Myskina defeated Shinobu Asagoe, 76(5) 75, but sprained her ankle during the match.
"Sometimes when you feel the pain, you try to be tougher, really become stronger," Myskina said. "So I was kind of thinking to finish the match because I was up. I really felt that if I just can put everything to that set, I'm going to be able to win the match."
Myskina is hoping that a little rest, along with some treatment over the next 24 hours will allow her to take the court for her quarterfinal match, but admitted she wasn't sure how her ankle would respond to another match.
"I really can't say yes or not because I'm really hoping to do well here, no matter what," said Myskina, responding to a question on whether she would have to pull out of the tournament. "Maybe just today I have a pain and tomorrow it might go away, because I'm going to do a lot of treatment today and hopefully tomorrow I'm going to be good."
