Well...she had lessons how to work with the media and stuff (and probably still has).

I am not going to sit here and say that she´s not good handling all that just because I don´t really like her. She´s a perfect media´s dream, no doubt about that. Her interviews are just perfectly given. Even if she has nothing to say, it sounds like she has something to say. It´s intersting. She knows how to work with the cameras and the people behind those.

well like i said in an other thread, i still think maria was a bit unprofessional or downright arrogant at an interview at wimbledon. after the match against sesil(the 15year old venus never heard off ) she lost 1 game to sesil and they asked her if she let sesil win it. Then she starts talking about how being double bagled sucks with such a big arrogant grin. really hated that

e entitled to an opinion, even if he's wrong.

This is just one person's opinion. I'm sure some others think it's Venus or Seles or somebody else.

Good Luck in 2005 to:

Martina Hingis-Welcome Back!

Venus Williams-Queen of Tennis

Ana Ivanovic-Future Champion

Kim Clijsters-Darling of Tennis

Honorable Mentions: Dinara Safina, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Lindsay Davenport, Svetlana Kuznetsova. Good Luck Girls!

A lot of commentators have said Maria was mature and well-balanced - even when she was 16.

She doesn't answer back when other players start bitching about her, she just ignores them. She knows how to handle the media, she's coped well with the sudden stardom that came after Wimbledon last year. On the court in the Final against Serena she played one of the most mature tennis games of any first time finalist in a Grand Slam, not panicking, not choking, just playing her game and finishing off the champion.

When she loses, she doesn't panic or blame illness, having bad line-calls or anything else. She just says she has to get back to hard work on her game. Of course Masha likes shoes and flashy clothes. But at 18, Masha is one of the most mature players out there.

Sabine Lisicki, Maria Sharapova, Elena Dementieva,

Victoria Azarenka, Dinara Safina, Maria Kirilenko

Nadia Petrova, Samantha Stosur, Ana Ivanovic.
