Thanks VUT for posting the pictures.

I think it was Nagyova who withdrew one hour before the start of the first single rubbers due to her knee injury (showing in the below picture). Then Nagyova was replaced by Slovak's junior rising star Dominika Cibulkova.

The first day finished with 1 - 1. The Slovak again send lower ranked Magdalena Rybarikova playing the reverse single rubber against Tammy. Then THA leads 2 -1 with Tammy's victory over Rybarikova.

According to Nagyova's knee problem, I think SVK thought that the tie will be decided in double and SVK will send Nagyova and Kurhajcova to play decisive doubles because I watched practicing in the morning.

I don't know if their decision was wrong or not but the Thai Suchanun Viratprasert who has a solid record in the Fed Cup, losing only one out of nine matches in the past two years, played consistent tennis to defeat Kurhajcova 6-4, 6-2 in the reverse single rubber 4.

Well done Thailand.

Suchanun Viratprasert reacts after defeating Kurhajcova 6-4, 6-2.

4-1 isn't really "scraping"...

it's true that Suchanan has a solid record in Fed Cup. it would be a lot better if she takes that form to the challenger. right now her ranking is falling down to somewhere out of top 200 that she cannot be on GS qualifying list anymore

i just don't know what's wrong

It's Slovakia by the way! Do you know tennis? World Group II is great for Thailand They're in top 16 tennis nation, not bad!

If some Asian players start to be good, they will have many good players on TOur form around the world so it's exciting but you don't know this

Last year she reached top 150 before. After that she separated from her coach (with some reason) and she travelled with her dad without coach, she wasted the time nearly one year. That is the reason why her ranking is not improving. She really need a professional coach which it is not easy to find in Thailand.
