This is depressing to me. I hate when players get manipulated by the political reason and their carreers get inevitably derailed because of it. It's just sad. As much as chinese have up and coming talent , they'll never realise until they either defect or some miraculous changes happen in China.

I heard the actual games take place in October....so I'm not sure about the US Open commitments, but seeing as the qualies already took place I think the Chinese ladies should be able to player the summer hardcourt season

I think the Chinese girls will be back on the tour very soon. Zi Yan is playing the Modena event this week in Europe.

I expect the girls to be in Standford, San Diego at the latest

Well the Chinese girls played Fed Cup yesterday and today in China's 4-1 victory over Slovenia, so they are back and playing already...

i thought the event is over, so they can play fed cup
can anyone tell me how many tennis players compete at this games so they just finished the qualifying round? 600,000 players? will they play till the end of the world?

i miss Shuai, Na, Jie, Ting, Tiantian so bad

Well, let me explain it.

The National Games consists of two parts: indivadual and team. In March was the individual qualifying rounds. And During Wimbledon was the team qualifying rounds. And in October will be the individual and team final rounds.

but that Tier I tournament will be very hard obviously...
i really hope them first to play in Cincinnati or Stanford..
