Haha....Mary...

from the Fed Cup website...

It was then up to Mary Pierce to confirm the lead, and bring her team the second point of the day. Not an easy prospect against Nuria Llagostera Vives who beat her in their only previous match, last April in Charleston. “I was injured" then recalled Pierce on Friday.

Umm. Well she was? Unlike people who usually have an injury during the match, Mary started off with an injury before the match. I was there. She had something wrong with her feet. She got them taped. She was moving slower than usual. She took a bathroom break in the second set. I was watching Nicole Vaidisova at the time and she was walking even more heavy-foot than she usually does while walking pass me.
I credit Llagostera Vives for beating Mary that day with her heavy topspinned groundstrokes but if Mary was 100% she would have won. Vives barely can get her serve in the 100s and considering Mary is such a good returner, she can at least break Vives once in a set.
