Yeah, and I still believe she'll be back. It's gonna be a while, but she'll get there!

very true rad, very true

I think the fact that she's willing to drop down to challengers and drop her pride (like most people thought she WOULDN'T be able to do) shows just how much she really wants to come back....and she also said in an interview a little while ago that she thinks she has 5-7 years of tennis left!!!!

GO JELENA! Your true fans are always behind you!

if she was making something happen it would be worthwhile but she isn't and is just wasting time. I don't know what she is doing but she can't expect different results doing the same things. She should maybe look to do something different, stop wasting time.

She has no choice but to drop down to challengers and it seems like she hasn't reached bottom yet. As I said in above post , it's a waste of time for her but she seems stubborn to do something different.

There was a long time when I thought Dokic was too full of herself to bother playing the lower tiers- where she belonged. But I respect VERY MUCH that she is trying to work herself back to the top- I just hope she does it faster because she was a highlite of the WTA Tour.

Until she has the guts to "divorce" Drunk Damir (like Justine did with Jose Henin, who's nowhere near as bad) Jeca has no self-respect, and doesn't deserve anyone's here. (Except that of rada, for endorsing ultra-nationalist Seselj for President).

Viva Jelena! it's tough to suppoert her during these almost 3 years of her sucking hard, but I'm glad she hasn't given up. She's still out there playing matches, although she REALLY needs to stop tanking them, and trying to get herself back to where she belongs. it'll still take her some time in the challengers circuit you can't just automatically revert back to the former world #4, which was what she used to be. Her game revolves around her confidence 100% because it's not like she has her speed or consistency to fall back on. Her game is power tennis, and it goes off many times, but it was her confidence in her shots that got the ball rolling and allowed her to pummel her opponents. That's the main thing she needs, and it's probably the hardest to get back.

Well all jokes aside, she can't even get entry into the top tiers anymore, so she only has one option

CUT HER SOME SLACK PEOPLE! It is not nice nor classy of you to kick a former top player when they are down, but are fighting and working hard to claw their way back up the tennis ladder from right at the bottom...

when agassi or capriati were reduced to low tiers and challenger events people paid them due respect. why not the same for jelena? because she has a crazy father? because u r insinuating that her fans are political extremists? come on people...jelena is a fighter and was a champion at one stage winning WTA titles on all surfaces including a tier1 and some tier2 withint a short period of time. She has already shown she has talent and you do not simply forget how to hit a forehand, its their, her game is their she is just dormant at the moment like a volcano waiting to erupt and when she does its gonna be a nice big bang she WILL be back

Good luck to the Aussie and Balkan girls!

well, at least she's not trying to get WC's into all the tier 1 and 2 tournaments...instead realising she needs to play the lower tiers

Jose was ovabearing, and after Justine's Mom Francoise died, wanted her to quit tennis to help care for her younger brother and sister. He was later abusive towards (opponents, mainly) @ Jr. tournaments, causing her grief with the other girls.

The final straw was trying to keep her and P-Y apart. (By this time, she was fully self-supporting & Carlos was her main "father figure" anyhow). He wasn't even invited to her wedding.
