New virtua tennis game being developed exclusive to PSP

Sega were the first company to successfully create a tennis game that was actually fun to play, and was a good representation of the sport. It was more arcadey than simulation but virtua tennis is one of the best tennis games released thus far (second only to topspin on xobox, slightly).

Now sega is developing a new topspin game for the PSP = portable fun

the player roster alone makes me much anticipate this. and with wireless mutliplayer it would be fun to kick ur friends butts. "So who's showing up in this mini-version of the racket smashing juggernaut that has taken the hearts, time, and quarters of thousands of gamers across the country? For starters, Venus Williams makes a star-studded appearance. She'll bring to the game her three-time Wimbledon championship talent. Roger Federer will also join the ranks of tennis stars. There will be other familiar faces such as Andy Roddick, Maria Sharapova, Lleyton Hewitt, Lindsay Davenport, Tim Henman, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Tommy Haas, Sebastien Grosjean, David Nalbandian, Daniela Hantuchova, Amelie Mauresmo, and Nicole Vaidisova."

Looks great...Let's just hope we get to play more than three games on the World Tour option. Rankings and full tournaments would be great, too.

What surprises me about some games is that they insist on having tennis players who are no longer considered to be "one of the top guys". Ferrero, Hass and Grosjean have their credentials, but other guys like Ancic and Johansson (Joachim) are the current big names that'll interest tennis enthusiasts, not the past heroes. Same with Hantuchova as well. I doubt guys will be turned on by a pixelated Daniela, and as talented as she is, other players like Dementieva and Myskina deserve her spot.

Because that's the only way he can make money.

Juan Carlos Ferrero

I might buy it when it's like 10 years old Sony is overpriced.

Le Poussin! Faithfully ignoring the haters since 1995.

Le Poulailler de Poussin! (Simontarded.)

Ron Paul for President 2012!
