Best Reaction to A Slam Win!

Up until last Saturday, my favorite reaction to winning a slam was when Jen won the 2001 Aussie Open. Now it is my co-favorite with Vee's reaction after winning Wimbly this year--- what a great, great reaction!!!

Your faves.....................

My fave was when Jana Novotna finally won Wimbledon after so many tries. It was the title she wanted most - there was so much emotion after winning it and it was a really deserved title.

Best celebration was no doubt from Thomas Johansson when he won AO 2002...

Did you mean 1995? All the pressure was on Steffi..had she lost that final soooooooooooooooo many questions would have been asked if her career was indeed "legitimate" with the absence of Seles.

I loved it when Serena won the US Open in 1999. She didn't know whether to laugh, cry or scream, so she did it all!

I like Jennifer's reaction during the 2002 Aussie Open. When she sent the match to a third set, she looked at her dad and gave this windmill fist pump, and I was like I was so pumped for her - and she was too! When I saw her do that, I almost jumped up through the ceiling I was so fired up. I wanted her to pound Hingis into the ground!

Venus winning Wimbledon this year was classic. The way she couldn't keep still was so awesome! She was so excited, and it really showed.

LOL

Oh really now?

Graf won THE GRAND SLAM, and was a match away from winning two, she didn't need a win over Monica to validate or legitimize anything!

To Answer the thread.

89 Us Open Final
99 French Final
00 Wimby final
99 Us Open Final
05 Wimby Final but for Venus' initial reaction not the jumping giggly part although that was nice too

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "
