Order the GS records

Below are the GS records of the top twenty. They are NOT in order.

OZ RG WB
-- -- --
SF 3r 4r
2r 1r 2r

SF QF SF
QF 3r SF
QF 4r QF
xx CH 1r
4r 1r QF
QF xx xx
4r 4r 4r
CH xx 3r
QF 4r 1r
1r FR QF
xx 4r 4r
2r 3r 2r
2r SF 4r
xx 4r xx
FR QF FR

3r SF 3r
4r 3r CH
4r SF QF

What order would YOU rank them in, strongest GS record to weakest GS record?

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

A final and a first round exit is better than two semis?

Otherwise, I can agree with you.

I'm just following my rule, didn't say I agree with it 100%.
You have to have some kind of rule to make it more or less objective and I wanted to keep it simple.
You can also add weights to each round but I'm too lazy to do that and then the weights become subjective

Great idea & I like rottweily's system except that it doesn't (can't?) take into account whom the player lost to. For example, Clijsters' losses to Davenport in the 4r at Wimbledon and the French are less of a shock than a 4r loss to a lower-ranked player.

Yup, that's the biggest flaw. You can use the rankings of the players beaten as an extra parameter, but again, it becomes more subjective.

xx CH 1r

FR QF FR

I really think

FR QF FR is better GS record than xx CH 1r. Winning is what it's all about but a 1st round loss and a DNP drags down tha average.
