I'd have to say Capriati winning the Australian Open in 2001... I mean, come on, she beat Seles, Davenport, and Hingis, back to back to back, and all three owned their H2H meetings.

QUEEN VEE

Good Luck: RENA, MATTEK, HAYNES, GULLICKSON, HARKLEROAD, RUBIN, GRANVILLE, LEE-WATERS, SCHNYDER, JACKSON, PERRY, KING, SUGIYAMA, PIERCE, TULYAGANOVA, IVANOVIC, KUZNETSOVA, MOLIK, DANIILIDOU, MEDINA GARRIGUES, PETROVA, PENNETTA, GOLOVIN, PEER, LI, SCHIAVONE, RAZZANO, ZVONAREVA, SPREM, SREBOTNIK, VINCI, & SAFINA

I think Capriati in 2001 Australian. Even though I loved Serena finally winning another Slam, and Venus at 2000!

Capriati winning the Australian in 2001

That match was fantastic. I can't believe they endured all that heat and still gave it their all. I don't even like either player, but that was one match no one should have missed.

errrrrr....I guess you mean Aussi 2002 !!! That was the amazing heat final, and the last final where one player saved macth point(s)...4! I was so on Jen's side...but in hindsight I feel sorry for Martina and wished she would have won it!

The French in 2001 was remarkable, but primarily for the final. That was some of the finest clay-court tennis either has ever played, and they both deserved to win that title. Capriati stunned everyone at the Aussie, and shocked everyone by backing that up with the French, and I must admit I was amazed, I'd though she'd never win a grand slam after the burnout, and to win two in one year?

Mary winning the 2000 Roland Garros Title

A Mary Pierce fan through and through,
But admires Amélie Mauresmo greatly.

We love you Mary !

I'd say Capriati winning the AO in 2001. Actually Capriati during all of 2001 was one of the greatest stories in 2000s.

Really, don't even look at me...
