W(h)ither grass-court tennis?

Watching this year's women's singles is making me despair. We're seeing more and more baseline slugfests (some of which have been great, don't get me wrong) and less and less net play and fewer and fewer serve/volley points. Momo has kept the standard flying, Venus has also played some great points and a couple of others have done their bit but by and large it seems that the game is becoming more "uniform".

I really hope that the grasscourt season is extended so that players get to develop their grasscourt skills and increase the variety of their games.

They need to go back to the old grass they used to use. The one that was faster and kept the bounces lower.

I'd love to see a longer grass court season but the chances of that are slim
i hate the fact that with the new graws the balls sit up too
