From Russia with love: I saw the apartment building where Elena D lives in Moscow
I haven’t been posting for a while because I visited Moscow from 26 May to 4 June to see my fave singer Vera (see my avatar) for the first time at the Russian annual National Music TV (Muz-TV) Awards presentation ceremony at the Olympic stadium in Moscow on 3 June.
I didn’t write Lena that I intend to visit Moscow as my fave singer’s concert schedule was only updated on 18 May.
Of course I hoped Lena would reach the final at the French Open again this year, so I thought I wouldn’t have a chance to see Lena in Moscow before my scheduled depart date on Saturday 4 June. But after Lena lost in the 4th round, I went to Lena’s house on 2 June to check whether she has returned to Moscow. And Lena didn’t return and her father went to ‘dacha’ in the countryside, so nobody was home. But I was happy enough just to see her apartment building.
Her apartment building is located in the central area (not very far from the Kremlin) and is on one of the main streets. But as the building has the ‘L’ letter shape, so Lena’s apartment is in the wing of the building that doesn’t face the main street. I asked her neighbour whether Lena would be moving to a new place (like Lena said months ago in a Russian language interview). The neighbour said that Lena won’t be moving, although Lena does have another apartment elsewhere in Moscow given to her by the Moscow City (or the Russian government) for her achievements in tennis.
That’s all about Lena’s building.
While I was in Moscow, I did have access to computers but the reason I didn’t come to post here because I didn’t want to write about my Moscow visit until I actually meet my fave singer. And the security at the Music TV award presentation ceremony was very tight and strict as they had both the police and security agents there. But at the end I did manage to pass through 3 rounds/layers of police/security agents (by asking the police, and by tricking – just followed the people with VIP passes) to actually talk with my fave singer on the green (they didn’t use red one) carpet after her band got out of the limousine. And that was really great!
