Seems like in the top 10 only Sharapova, Serena, Amelie and Lindsay have something to lose..

So Davenport with a huge lead, winning 3-4 rounds at Wimbledon should secure her #1 position.
See how close #4 to 7 are, there could be a real shake in the ranks after Wimbledon.

Justine will most likely (hopefully) secure the 4 position post-Wimbledon.

Linsday with a 1/2 can realy secure her #1 for summer, at least can still be #1 if she loses 1-2 titles

Yeah it's about that time where Lindsay starts winning titles!!

I'm feeling Wimbledon for her this year... and at least 2 California hardcourts, maybe one more after

Sharpie is not actually defending that many points at big W. If she wins this year, she will probably gain about 100-150 points (barring another collapse of seeds, which is unlikely.) I think Davenport will be Ms. Consistency again, reaching the SF before losing. However, I don't think she'll defend San Diego or LA or Cincinnati (she probably won't play.)

thanx for this !! it's amazing to see that if Maria would lose in round 1 at Wimbledon she still would be ranked above Mauresmo, but she will be defending her Birmingham points also so I guess the top 2 will stay the same after Wimbledon anyway

Well, seeing as they were the 4 SFists at Wimby last year...

With the Belgians coming back, will Sharapova claim the 1st spot this year ? I hope so (because she's won 1GS and the YEC), but there is less and less chance that it happens.
Davenport is so thankful to Justine who prevented twice Sharapova to become number 1.
