Sesil Karatancheva

This girl is amazing. After watching her at the Australian Open, I thought that her style was very similar to Sharapova's. She hits the ball flat and hard, and she is very pretty.

I knew from her matches this year that she would eventually get a breakthough, and it was just a matter of time. RG has just proven what she is really capable of, and if she were a year older, she would've had the mental composure to win that QF match.

Does anyone else agree that she is extremely talented? I would also like to know how she compares to Vadisova, Golovin and the other young players in the top 100. And, what will her ranking be after Roland Garros?

Daniela Hantuchova.

Casey Dellacqua, Jelena Jankovic, Anna-Lena Groenefeld,
Jelena Dokic, Mirjana Lucic, Sara Tomic, Sloane Stephens
Melanie Oudin, Kiki Bertens, Kaia Kanepi, Alison Riske

Yes, Sesil certainly has potential. She was unlucky having to play Kuznetsova at 1st round in USO '04 and Sharapova 2nd round in AO '05, otherwise her "breakthrough" could have come sooner. That being said, she is not top notch yet because of an average serve and inconsistency of forehand. She is also not tough enough for big matches, judging from the meltdown in the QF.

I prefer Sesil over Vaidisova and Golovin. She plays quick-paced tennis that's more fun to watch.

I didn't see the talent against Likhovtseva, but I'm sure it was nerves. Whatever the case, I'm happy for the girl and prefer her over the other bland teen starlets.

She plays nothing like Sharapova. It is closer to Myskina
Her serve is not as good and she doesnt go for broke all the time on her groundies, as she prefers to rally. She is based on quickness which Sharapova is not.
I think Vaidisova and Golovin are better.
