Amelie and Kim have no desire to win slams!

Bud collins latest take, yada yada yada. If they would be more focused, yada yada and more yada, perhaps they would be able to win slams otherwise it is an end of an era.
They have had every opportunity to do so, but let's not talk about them, not winning equals no desire at all!

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

if they have no desire
why would they even bother to play then
i have to disagree
i still remember amelie cried last year AO 04 QF where she had to withdrew then
Kim still played RO with a taped knee
well the desire is there
the confidence of winning one might not be there i would say

Serena Williams
Vera Zvonareva
Ana Ivanovic

Petra Kvitova - Svetlana Kuznetsova - Li Na - Sloane Stephens - Madison Keys

Will Always Love Kim Clijsters and Elena Dementieva

oh,how i wish to write something positive in this forum, but with the threads getting dumber and dumber,i have no chance! WHY the helll do you think, they have no desire to win a slam??can you imagine, how hard they are working on themselves,to reach THAT target??it would be really nice,if this forum would be more frequented by people making "serious" threats, and not such a crap!!!sorry

There might be some truth to it. Deborah Kerr was a complete flake, never campaigned, was always "in Europe." I don't think she cared, and you know what, if you don't care, you don't get the votes to win! Roz Russell cared a little, but she couldn't sustain the desire year after year like you need to get the votes you need. She came close, but no Oscar, either!

Now you see how ridiculous it is to accuse players of having no desire when they keep training hard and still lose. or is that only acceptable when it refers to the williams!
