Likhovsteva should be happy that Pierce took so much time, if she didn't the match would have been over in 30 minutes !!

No if she wins it will be because she was the best player over these two weeks or because Justine gets injured in the finals and is unable to finish the match.

The only way she can win it is if Henin gets injured or sick.. Shot to shot she has no say in this match, different leagu, different galaxy. Top 5 against Top 50.. But now that's a final, one off match. Anything can happen. Even an average player can end up being a winner against one of the best players in the world, like in 2004 RG men's final..

I think she would have beaten Lindsay and Elena regardlessly, but I think it might have effect Patty [and the crowd]. Justine'll cope with it.

Lindsay Davenport

Elena Bovina | Anastasia Myskina | Flavia Pennetta
Fernando Verdasco | Tommy Haas

Q. Give us an update on the kid.
A. Are you serious?

You're saying Mary is just a top 50 player? Great analysis! Where do you class Vera Z, Patty, and Lindsay in the rankings then? They can't even be in the top 100, according to your standards.

Henin is the overwhelming favourite, I admit. But saying Mary is in a 'different galaxy' to Justine is ridiculous.

Are you suggesting she is not?

Pierce played somewhat better against Vera and Patty. And on top of that they are headcases, which Pierce is not. And Lindsay can lose to pretty much anybody on clay. She should have lost to Peng, for one.
