Post should scoring threads be allowed in GM

I just wondered, ever since the Hong kong Challenge has started and scores are being posted in this forum it has been slower then a wet week.

Should this forum be left for topics of interest and scoring threads be put in the appropiate forums?

hmm... I'm tossed up on this one..

While on one hand it sucks they slow the forum down considerabley, I would like to see the scores along with many others.

And in the case of the Hong Kong tourney there wasn't another forum available for people to post scores.

If there was somewhere else for them to do it - then it'd be a total no brainer.

If there's a forum for a tournie or exhibition or whatever, then yes, scores should be posted there.

But if there isn't....?

Just a question: wouldn't the scoring threads on the other parts of WTAWORLD 'slow down' the GM thread as well?

I don't think it is fair not to allow scoring threads especially when you are talking about the exhibitions score which ppl are interested but at the same time they do not have a place for people to post score

FWTT
-Oldest game in wtaboard, started in April 2000 even before wtaworld is born.
-You can create your own player, making their own name, making their personality.
-Some player has been playing for more than 10 years

If you want I can make an Exhibition tournaments forum in the 'Other tournaments' section?

The thing there Josh is that there aren't that many.

I mean when the full season gets in full swing, surely that will ease the current problem?

Josh is hitting on the right area here. By rights it should of been in the challenger forums or something similar.

Gorecki, the answer to your question is this, if 40-50 people are in one forum refeashing etc to get scores, it does drag the rest of the forum down, but rarely the whole site

I see...
My own observation - i felt the 'lagging' on other forums as well besides the GM threads.

I dunno - i'm not fussy about where scoring threads ought to be...

exhibitions are rare, so its not that much of a big deal is it?

if i wanted to find the scores for hong kong, i wouldn't have looked in the auckland forum or the challengers, as hong kong is neither.

it doesn't fall into the aussie tournament forums, or challengers, or non tennis, or games, so i'd call it general, hence it being in general msgs.

exhibitions should be allowed - they're fun! and they have no threads of their own.

and where they produce desolation, they call it peace
