Youngest player ever to win a match at FO?

What do you think?
Open era (as I only have stats about that time), singles, main draw, not juniors competition.

Hmmm..... I love Stefanie. But something tells me you're conveniently withholding some pre-Open era stats.....I wouldn't put it past me...I mean, you.

Someone is quietly turning back the clock...to them bulldozer dayz...

Always on the lookout for a great tennis match.

Steffi Graf defeated Carina Karlsson in the first round in 1983 before being fairly comprehensively defeated by Beverley Mould in the second round (by 6-0 7-6). She was fourteen just a few days later.
Far more impressive was Kathy Rinaldi's 1981 debut. Just two months past her 14th birthday she swept to the Quarter-Finals, winning four matces and beating two seeds en-route (Ann Smith -11- and Dianne Fromholtz -8) before losing to the eventual champion Hana Mandlikova.

That Serena most probably withdrew from FO because she had no chance to win and preferred to prepare properly for Wimbledon .....

BTW, I'm green again - for the moment!

cali - you are such a tease!
:P

if you have nothing important to say, please do so in non-tennis forum. if you have something you think is important, but is actually rubbish regarding anything other than tennis - please do so in the non-tennis forum. if you have something tennis related to say, but it's actually "OMG, X player is so h0t!1" or "who has the biggest boobs on the wtatour" please do so in menstennisforum, under "wta forum". if you have something important, tennis-related and interesting to say please do so. No one in the world can understand how much tennis means to someone, except another fan.

Rinaldi also made it to the Wimbledon semi-finals in 1985, losing to Chris Evert on Centre Court.
