Well, Venus is healthy this year going into the FO, or at least she seems to be, so I rate her chances as good as any top player. She can run all day long if she has to and she likes to rally and set up for the winner , and that's a good thing as clay is a very demanding surface where patience is very important,so I suspect she will have a good shot at getting deep into the tournament and maybe even winning it. I hope she can overcome her mental issues because when she does she will have a definite chance of winning the whole thing.

Justine looks like the strong favourite more and more though, with Serena out Kim injured and Sharpie, Davenport and Mauresmo won't pose a big threat to Henin on clay due to obvious reasons IMO. But this scenario might also prove very beneficial to Venus because she can also take advantage of this situation. I hope Venus will have a good tournament and that she no matter her results will stay healthy. Good luck Venus

OMG, Venus got about the best draw she could hope for. What a blessing! Take advanatage of it Vee!

I cheer for Williams x 2, Pierce, Patty, Nastya and Kim

I miss Sandrine, Monica, Iva & Joanette

I miss Pinky and the Brain. I want Anna K back so she and Hingis can get in more cat fights like the old days.

Venus would be my pick to come through her half of the draw; it's a piece of cake in the scheme of things. I'm still not sure I'd pick her to win the title, but I'll probably be surprised if she loses before the final, especially if she wins the title in Istanbul tomorrow. Nothing like winning to boost your confidence.
