Chanda Rubin

Having seen Chanda lose in R1 of Strasbourg and then R1 of RG qualies, why is she not able to use a Special ranking? Surely she has been out for more then 6 months?

Puzzled!

you can only use a Injury Rank for a slam if you have missed 3 slams in a row.
Chanda hasnt.

and even then you only get ONE slam in addition to the 8 WTA events.

and there are no more Special ranks, protected ranks yes, but special seedings for injury players are a thing of the past.

Good luck in 2015 to my favsKIRILENKO**Zvonareva*Kuznetsova*Sharapova*Kleybanova*Vesnina*Shvedova

Is Chanda going to play Womens Doubles or Mixed Doubles at French Open?

I think she should have waited til eastbourne to play because she played in strasbourgh and then in the qualies in Paris. What would have happened if she didn't lose at stras? How would she be able to play the qualies in paris?

When I think of life, sometimes my response is "Oh Damn!". But I still think of life anyway, "Oh Damn!!!"

I'd be shocked if she played Eastbourne because she has to play qualies for Wimbledon. Which explains why she entered Birmingham.

It's great to see Chanda attempt a come back after such a lengthy layoff.

Strasbourg and RG qaulies was a great idea. She lost, now onto grass training.

I never thought of that. Poor Chanda can't even play at one of her favourite tournaments this year. Damn, I really hope she can push her ranking up high enough as to be able to qualify for the US Open main draw come August.
