Kournikova Adidas store appearance in NYC on May 7

Anna will help to open the new Adidas store in Soho this Saturday. Also appearing with be Laila Ali, Jeremy Shockey, and Sebastian Telfair.

This will include an autograph session...

I'm not sure what time things will start but you can call the store.

Anna was just in NYC to host The View.
And she threw out the first ball in San Diego on Friday.
She gets around.

Why? The store isn't going to last long. It's in Soho. The people who want Adidas are in Brooklyn, Queens, and Bronx. Noone is going all the way to Soho for an Adidas store. They can go to the one of 100s sneaker stores that sell Adidas in their neighborhood.

tourists go to soho, not queens or bronx. brooklyn is on the rise, but soho is still more attractive than brooklyn.

bad business move to set up an adidas store in the bronx or queens... it'd never make any money.

....This is fucked up, fucked up....

This is your blind spot, blind spot.
It should be obvious, but it's not.

You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don't care what the future holds
Cause I'm right here in your arms today
With your fingers you can touch me

I'll be your black swan, black swan
I'm for spare parts, broken up.

Some people still care about what Anna is up to, and she is still involved in tennis.

If you dont care about her, then dont bother posting in threads about her. Simple as that.

Anna is still playing tennis, she is still on magazine covers, she is still the most searched athlete on the internet.
She's still very relevant in the tennis world.
No one in the U.S. even knows that there is a Tier I in Germany this week.

But Anna can create headlines anytime she wants -

She needs to do something constructive.

I agree. Anna's been living a great life.
She's flying around on Enrique's Gulfstream 4. She shops where ever she wants. She was at fashion week in Paris, in the front row.
But she also does some charity. She was with former President Bush, Dr. Phil, and others, to raise money for Tsunami relief -

Anna is only playing tennis for charity or exhibitions. I wouldn't call that playing professionally, especially when she is more than capable of returning to the tour. Even her own boyfriend believes that she can do it. Anna hasn't been on a magazine cover since last year's SI, so if she has been on any recent ones, please let us know. She is the most searched athlete on the net simply because the net chooses to define her as an athlete. However, Anna left the game two years ago and has not returned, so you cannot really define her as an athlete anymore. Nor is she relevant to the game that has been taken over by power hitters.

I like Anna a great deal, but I also want to be realistic about her place in the tennis world. At this point, Anna is famous merely for being famous. There is nothing wrong with that, but she could do so much more and that is a shame that she has chosen this path.

Of course she's still an athlete. She played on the WTA tour in 2003.
Is Seles an athlete?

She hasn't played in two years and she is not going to return. Therefore, she should not be considered an athlete anymore. And no, Seles shouldn't be considered an athlete. In fact, Seles said in a recent interview that she had started coaching, so she should be called Coach Monica.

As I said before, I like Anna, but at this time, she is a celebrity and nothing else.
