Ana Ivanovic d. Vera Zvonareva(3): 6-2 6-4

Woehoe, Ana played a very good first set, then made a bit too many errors in beginning of second but VEra did start to play a bit better. Ana played very well again in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS Vera wore a skirt untill the first half of the second set and all of a sudden she was wearing pants!!!!! It did not help much I guess...

Expected. Vera is decent player when she's on but she will never be an elite player. Ana on the other hand is living up to the expectations and will most likely reach the top 20 this year. Maybe even top 15. In my opinion, her game is more attractive than Golovin.

Ana was dominating Vera with power and shotmaking in the 1st set.

At the start of the second vera got more aggressive, moving Ana about and hitting some big forehands. Ana also made a lot of errors.
But Ana managed to turn it round when she started making her shots again, and Vera started getting irritated with calls, the court surface, balls, etc.

Bravo Anci. Samo napred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope she'll make semis and then play with Justine. That will be the one to watch

and she's not far from doubles semis either.

Roland Garros...here she comes!

There was a turning point where vera was leading 30-0 and then Ana discussed the call and from then it was vera going down under i think..

Ana was having her way in first set but after Vera started crying and hitting her racquets and changing here clothes , Ana kind of let go a little only to turn the power on and give a dagger at the end. I am happy I could see it live . Commentators were really impressed with Ana , at least that's what I think they were shouting her name .

First time that I see Vera but she has to work her serve and some mental toughness. I am not sure if this is typical of her but she was really exposed today.
