Endow your favorites game w/an aspect of another players game

For me I'd give Venus Williams, the forehand of Elena D. I can live w/her second serve, it's not getting her killed, or i'd like her to have the confidence she had in 00-02.

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

hmmmm

I would give Serena the mental facilities (court awareness and foresight) of Martina Hingis. Not to say that Serena isn't smart on the court but Hingis was "THE BRAIN!" after all.

Pinkie and the Brain! - Y'all were a source of many laughs!!!!

I would also give to Venus - Davenport's groundies. Doh!

I cheer for Williams x 2, Pierce, Patty, Nastya and Kim

I miss Sandrine, Monica, Iva & Joanette

I miss Pinky and the Brain. I want Anna K back so she and Hingis can get in more cat fights like the old days.

i'd give kim sharapova's mental strength in finals

justine, i'd give her a bit more of lindsays power.

serena i'd give her momo's volleys

venus, i want her to have lindsay's forehand.

vera z, serena's mental strength.

Elena D's forehand is not explosive enough to go with the rest of Venus' game. I'd just rather have Venus' old FH back where she took a more compact swing or have Serena's FH.

Lena's is an explosive forehand all right, just not yesterday.

If you want to see Venus with Serena's forehand, all you really have to do is look at Serena, because the forehand is the biggest difference between the two of them in their games.

It's explosive, but not enough to go with the rest of Venus' game. It just wouldn't fit in.

It's the biggest difference, but not the only difference.

That wasn't my point, all Venus needs is a more consistant forehand, it could be Elena L's forehand , Venus makes so many oppurtunities for herself she doesn't need an "explosive forehand w/her serve backhand and volleying skills.

If you really wanna know I just want Venus to get her old swagger back. She was a devastating player w/the same forehand and and second serve.

I think you'd see a difference when Venus goes to munch a FH crosscourt on the run or goes in for the huge swinging volley or stretches outwide to slam a return at her opponents feet. Put ED's FH in that situation and what do you have? They just don't go together IMO. Venus' game is not built on just being consistent which I'm sure you already know.

I know, me too. I was just watching her at the Pilot Pen 2001 and her FH was compact and could match or beat anyone's on tour day in and day out. Her serve motion was smaller also.

for whatever reason Venus is just not the same player she was. The other players believe they can beat her and because of the forehand they always have a game plan. Whether Venus has gotten worse or the competition has gotten better, it is hard to say, but it sort of mystifies me that she has been losing as often on fast courts as on clay (in fact, more often, considering she won C'ton and Warsaw last year).

in leiu of Venus getting her swag back....i'd be happy w/her simply having a more consistent forehand

I want Venus to get her confidence of '00 back.

Her forehand and serve are great with confidence.

Give Venus Lena's forehand, and Lena V's serve and every damn final would be VW vs. LD.

I could live with that.
