Anyone know why she retired?

If she's injured, she's going to have a tough time getting ready for the French.

So wierd. I hope Serena wasn't just lazy and didnt feel like playing anymore. So many wasted opportunities its sick.

And her serve was great at the start of the match and then it turned into crap, i really wonder what happened with her.

Shock result.

I can't see Serena retiring at this stage unless she's unwell.

Exhaustion, maybe?

I'm really getting sick of seeing the word "retired" next to so many of her matches.

Serena go work out. You kept on getting injured. That means you are not fit enough.
Lets see her record this year.
Australian Open: Rib Injury in final
Paris:Flu
Dubai:Arm injury
Miami: Nothing that we know of
Amelia Island: Some sort of injury.

Congrats Silvia!

Silvia wasted 40-15 to finish the 1st set off

I'm glad she didnt give up and still could win, it's sad that Serena had to retire, but Silvia has her credits!

GWS Serena

Silvia, c'mon, let's reach the final!
