Petrova Beats Asagoe 6-0 0-6 6-2

the winner of the wierdest match of the year goes to these girls.
but petrova limited her self-distruction and came out on top

go for the title babe!

This is in the realm of Amanda Coetzer scorelines.

They both get humiliated with the bagels. Congrats Shinobu for
hanging tough after the initial maru (zero in Japanese) and that
huge win over my Vampire!

Great win Nadya.

Again into the Semis against Davenport. Time for revenge.

Damn! I wanted Shinobu to move through to the semis so she can have a chance to take on Lindsay again

But congrats Nadia I think the title here is hers for the taking. She's too talented to go without one...

And better luck next time Shinobu She should be proud of her performance so far this year. A few bad losses, of course, but a better-than-expected start and that's credit to her hard work

What a great week from Shinobu! Beating a Top-10 player, defeating players that she has never beaten before, and reaching the QF's of a CLAY tournament which is supposed to be her weakest surface!

And now she'll be the No. 1 Japanese player! Great stuff from her, it should be an interesting week at Charleston! Congrats on a great week Shinobu and good luck!
