Razzano defeats Sugiyama 6-4 6-7 [3] 7-5

Ai had match points at 5-2 and 5-3!! The slump continues.... he unforced errors in the end were esculating and no longer in proportion to her winners.

She better pick it up by Wimbledon, she has quarter final points to defend. It's a shame, I really enjoy her game and this would have been a great match to win.

every year Razzano has one freaky tournament like this that keeps her in the Top 100, then she spends the rest of the year losing to every opponent in sight.

It wouldn't suprise me if it did... Zvonereva is beatable and clearly Virginie is very competitive... she never gave up against Ai.

I think Razzano can beat Zvonareva as well... Tough conditions & the possibility of a rain delay might hurt Vera.
