Esh.

I'm a Serena supporter, but unless she can keep the unforced errors down, the winners up, and the serve percentage up, I'm liking Mary's chances. Regardless, I say it'll go three sets, Serena winning.

Projected score:

S.Williams def. M.Pierce; 6-3, 2-6, 6-2

Somethin' like that.

Serena Williams
Martina Navratilova
Steffi Graf

mary seems to be playing well, but Serena will be too strong. Also didn't Serena have this exact same draw last year?

Mary is looking very dangerous at this point.

I just hope Serena is ready.

Hmmm I think that Mary might be able to come out and blast with Serena for a set, but I don't think she can go the distance. I will say Serena in 3; 4-6 6-4 6-2

This poll is a bit comical. If someone can name a time in the last 4-5 years that Williams has lost before the Quarterfinals for any tournament (except giving way for sister) I will change my opinion. Williams in two easy sets.

serena lost for the first time evr agaisnt jidkhova last year in rd 1
mary/serena match up is an intriguing one, both have won on clay and know how to play on this surface. Both pretty powerul off both wings but serena sure can move better than mary. Mary plays the kind of game serena relishes, pace! serena in two easy sets.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

I'm joking. Sarina in two. Pearce is obese. I wouldn't bet on her except against powder puff players (#'s 11 on).

Mary had 25 winner and only 6 unforced errors and won the first ten games of her match today. However, Serena Williams is 100 times the player Daniilidou is (no offense). I really would like to see some Hilton Head 2000 form from Mary (which really is possible) but no one fights like Serena. Too bad I wont see this match...

azarenka - pavlyuchenkova - li - jankovic
garcia - bencic - paszek - rus - kanepi - kuznetsova - stephens
bouchard - karatantcheva - larcher de brito - voegele - lim - mladenovic

mary pierce - forever #1
vaidisova - kournikova - golovin - henin
the boys - federer - gasquet - del potro - haase - nishikori

I think Serena will win unless she plays like she did in her last two matches in Miami.

I hope Mary can pull the upset though.

This should be a poll. Anyway, I'd say Rena. I don't see Mary coming away with such a big win.
