well I'm glad coz double-bagels can come back and haunt a player. Anyway, awesome stuff from Venus to be cruising like this. Further evidence that Miami was her breakthrough

Bagels or no bagels, Venus won convincingly. She went on the court and took care of business -- I love it when she is efficient like that.

"I'm always happy when the Williams sisters win. I support them; I don't know why. They can lose, they can win, and they take it the same way. Maybe it's because tennis is not the biggest focus in their lives. But that they still end up winning Grand Slams is great." Roger Federer, July 2005

At 6-0 5-0 Venus had nothing else to prove. I've seen this happen before and wondered if Venus hates to see a dbbgl against a player's name or hates giving them out. Sucha obviously had nothing to threaten Venus with so I believe she didn't press the issue.

It's 2008 and I'm shopping for a new fave. Hell no! And Venus is still playing?

I Love You, Roger and Venus, 5-time Wimbledon Champions!

Venus is such a nice and sweet person. One of the sweetest and nicest on the tour.

Her serve was broken? Pft! When's she gonna retire already?

(perhaps she's on the atkins diet and is restricting carbs?)

Reason is poor propaganda when opposed by the yammering, unceasing lies of shrewd and evil and self-serving men.

I thought that Antwerp was the first tournament in as many years where she actually came back.
A do-bag would have been nice...
But its still a very nice win...
