Let's imagine this for the moment:

Let's imagine that all the players are in their best form. Who do you think would be #1 in that case?

"I dream of people watching me holding up my third Wimbledon trophy... Most of all I dream of being a good person to all that are inspired by me I dream of having girls, women, boys, men being fond of not only what I have done on the tennis court, or on the big screen or what I design but I dream of what people think of me as a person.
I dream that people think of me as a giving person as a person that
loves life and is fun to be around." - Serena

But sharapova is, according to many, now at her best. And she is not #1. How do you explain that?

To win matches is one thing. To win the tournaments is a totaly different thing, and that counts for being (or becoming) number one. And she obviously has the problem about wining tournaments, and I don't see how it could become better for her, time or no time given.

I hope this doesn't become another hate topic but at the age of 17 she already won 9 titels and will be number 2 next week, people that still need more proof that Maria is a good tennis player are stupid.

About the question you asked, I have no idea

Maria Sharapova: Career Slam Winner

Wimbledon 2004 US Open 2006
Australian Open 2008 Roland Garros 2012 2014

Please, enlight me: How will Sharapova be number two next week? I would so much like to know that.
And, why do you people say that same thing avery single week, and it never happens? You predicted that she will be #1 after Miami, and she is #3.
So, who is stupid over here?

she won 2 titles already this year, 2 out of 3 finals she played. She never lost before semifinals. I highly doubt you're a tennis fan

It's hard to lose before semies if you retire, isn't it?

Serena - if she was 100% focused on tennis and had no distractions, I think she would definitely be back at number one

I am so happy to see how big visionars you are, and the majority says that Serena is the one. No, she is THe One And Only. The Queen (let Venus be The Princess just this once, please, and not the other way arround)!!!
