I may have some kind of amnesia, but I don't think Kim has ever played like this (not just today, but generally over the past month) before. Her defence is unbeliveable. And her retrieving skills would make even Arantxa proud. I don't know, maybe it's because I haven't seen her for so long, but I was really surprised by her standard of play.
And that makes me think, can she keep it up for a longer period of time? Because if she can, she must be one of the very top contenders for RG.

I think her defense is better than ever BUT she also tries to switch to offensive.

She's got an incredibly complete game. I'm so happy I am a fan of Kim Clijsters. I could not have chosen a better fave.

2000-2007: My "Kim years". My best years as a tennis fan. A few bitter losses but a lot of great matches and great wins. Thank you, Kim Clijsters!

It's hard to say if she's playing better than she was before because she's beating the same players(save Maria) by the the same type of scores she was before. But I can't remember her having back to back Tier 1 run like this. She still hasn't really had the test of facing Justine or Serena, she played Venus in Antwerp so some questions will be answered on the clay. Her serve has improved ALOT though.

It looks like the break-up with Llyeton has done wonders for her career. Good riddance i say.
