Exclamation Now We Know Why The Protected Ranking Is No Longer In Use...

Last year, the players voted against using it again because they felt some players were using it too much.

I bet they regret that now.

because Nastya could have reached the final

I can't think of a witty signature right now. I like turtles.

I personally felt that Venus should have passed on the protected ranking. The match play would have done her good. I'm glad its gone.

I prefer dangerous floaters to protected rankings.

If Kim had some sort of protectecd seeding, she would not have been a dangerous floater like she was in the last two tornaments and the other two she is going to play before the FO.

Probably she will be seed before in events before RG. Last year Williams sisters used protected rank all the time and that didn't help them. 4 titles in 2004 and they played almost whole year with PR. Kim doesn't use PR and still she is able to win events. IF you're good you will win tournaments no matter what's your rank

Keep in mind that Venus and Serena also tended to injures last year too.

The Protected rank is still there, but the Special Seed isnt
big difference.

if the players had a vote it was obvious they were gonna vote against it

cos 99% of the players never got the special seed rank, just the elite few.

Good luck to my favs
