Here are just a few:

1. Carrying some unknown amateur partner to the Wimbledon doubles title in 1988 .

2. Being so generous as to give up the no.1 ranking to allow a German home favourite to progress in Berlin 1991 .

3. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory not once, but twice in Paris 1993 and Miami 1995 .

anna smashnova:
1. playing for israel, even though women's tennis had nothing here, while she could have recieved so much more in russia and later on in italy.
2. playing fed-cup with pride for so long, as well as the olympics.
3. 9 WTAtour titles.

she's a pioneer and for me that counts way more than any Grand Slam.

if you have nothing important to say, please do so in non-tennis forum. if you have something you think is important, but is actually rubbish regarding anything other than tennis - please do so in the non-tennis forum. if you have something tennis related to say, but it's actually "OMG, X player is so h0t!1" or "who has the biggest boobs on the wtatour" please do so in menstennisforum, under "wta forum". if you have something important, tennis-related and interesting to say please do so. No one in the world can understand how much tennis means to someone, except another fan.

Justine Henin-Hardenne.

1. RG '03 - defeating Serena (SF) to end her GS streak & then her long-time nemesis Clijsters in final.

2. USO '03 - beating Capriati (SF) from 2-5 down in 2nd set & 3-5 down in 3rd set & 24hrs later defeating Clijsters for the title.

3. Olympics '04 - coming back after 4 months of illness to beat Myskina (SF) from 1-5 down in the final set & then Mauresmo in final.

Henin......Myskina......Agy

"Justine will not beat Serena or Venus on hard Surfaces. Venus will demolish Venus on Grass so will Serena. Oh don't get me started on Carpet."
