Post A confused American that needs help...

I live in Florida, and I was wondering what the time difference is between here and Australia. Thanks for your help in advance.

I might be wrong on this, but if I remember correctly the time difference for me during when the Austrlian Open was being played last year, was 16 hours.

I am likely in the same time zone as you.

Well it depends on which part of Australia you want.I'm pretty sure that from:

Florida to the east coast for example Perth is 13 hours

Florida to the central time zone for example Adeliede is 14&1/2 hours

Florida to west Australia where Melbourne or Sydney are is 15 hours

Hope this helps!

"I probably respect Monica more than any other player out there. Not only as a player, but also as a good friend, and an amazing person. I was so happy to see her play well last week, and then score some big upsets here this week. But I was also very happy to close it out in two sets, because as we've seen these past few weeks, Monica never gives up." - Lindsay Davenport after defeating Monica Seles to win the estyle.com Classic title

Am I correct that Eastern Standard Time is 16 hours from Melbourne, though?

Thats what I had it figured to be last year.

Thanks, everyone. I was just wondering so I wouldn't be up all night looking for scores when they're not going to play until the next day!

Justin is correct (and Becca is,too). It's summertime in Sydney; so it is currently observing Daylight Savings Time. Therefore it's 16 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

This website adjusts for DST:
