Unhappy Bad news on Poli Suarez

bad news, friends... If anyone can translate this, please do it, I'm in a little rush

Tengo bastantes cosas.

-¿Te imaginás algún día como entrenadora?

-No.

I am bored so.

MIMI.- Like many times before in Grand Slam tournaments, the legion dissappears and the Argentinian tennis flag is carried by Paola Suarez, always important in doubles, the speciality where she is the best in the world along with her friend, the Spaniard Virginia Ruano Pascual.

But yesterday, a litte after beating Maria Emlila Salerni and the Russian Maria Kirilenko 6-3 4-6 6-2, which qualified the Spanish-Argentinian couple for the semifinals, 28 years old Suarez spoke about her future. In the short term, the gold medal winner in Athens with Patricia Tarabini announced whe will not be part of the national team that will visit Spain, between the 23 and 24 of April, to play a Fed Cup tie. But there is more. The winner of 36 doubles titles, including 7 grand slams and a master, and 4 singles titles, has decided to end her days as a tennis players, that started when her mother Rosa threw her balls from a bucket in the courts of Gimnasia, in Pergamino.

"I talked to Caio (Ricardo Rivera, the captain) and let him know that I won't be in the team against Spain. After Key Biscayne I will go home for a month, because I want to train well. I started the year late because of an injury and paid for it with defeats in four first rounds. I am not well enough to play in the tour, neither I am to represent my country. Really, the one that doesn't let me play is she, because she will be in the Spanish team and we would have to play each other (laughs). She doesn't want to even see me", said Suarez, the first Argentinian top 10 after Gabriela Sabatini, pointing to Ruano Pascual.

- There are rumours about your retirement, they say it would be at the end of the year.

- It's very possible. But I have someone - Ruano = that doesn't let me do it yet. If I continue, next year I will choose 12 tournaments for farewell.

- Why retirenment now? is there a physical and mental toll? Other things?

- It is very tough, but I lived many years in the tour. I've been a professional for 12 seasons, and in the last 3 years especially, I played many matches. It's true that I achieved great results, but I left other things on the side. Last year I had several injuries. Honestly, I am a little tired of this life too.

- (Ruano interrupts) stay, are you sure I press her too much to stay?

- if it was up to you, you would have already retired.

- I want to do different things after so many years. To play tennis I have to make a lot of sacrifices and now I want to be at home, with my friends, enjoy with my family and setup some projects, like an academy with my coach (Daniel Pereyra), organize a lunch room for kids of low income and take a course of interior design. I have several things.

- Can you picture yourself one day as a coach?

_ No, I would have to travel and I've done that too long. They say life has its time for everything and now I want to enjoy other things.

Awww Paola I always enjoyed watching her and Vivi play doubles. They are surely one of the best doubles teams ever to grace the courts She will be missed.
