What was Serena going to do if she said yes?

I guess Serena has never hit a ball at someone.

Yeah, she did, with her second serve last year @ the Finals of this event.

Either give her a piece of her mind or beat her down. What do you think?

Not on purpose.

Crush her hand. Seriously, like that girl was going to say yes with Serena standing right there staring her in the face. Playing tennis against Serena when she's all the way on the other side of the net is one thing, it's easy to pretend to be all tough and bad ass. But I doubt many of those girls would want to engage in physical combat with Serena. Not that violence is ever the answer.

I don't believe for one minute that Serena would say something like that at the net. It has to be a load of crap because only an idiot would say that and Serena is quite intelligent and charming.

FUCK YOU, SEWTA.

Or maybe she said "no" because she didn't mean anything by aiming it at Serena other than winning the point.

As someone else said in a different thread its a perfectly legitimate way to win a point, to hit the ball right at someone at the net. I do it, you probably do it, Serena does it, everyone does it, I don't understand what the big deal was.

I could understand Serena's frustration with the match, she even said afterwards that Peer's style of play wasn't exactly her favorite to play against, so coming from personal experience frustration can do strange things to a person.

That being said Serena had just won the match so I don't understand the attempt at intimadation. Something else was obviously bothering her.

Serena said Good Match

Q. What did Serena tell you at the net?

SHAHAR PEER: Oh, she just said, "Well done," and, "Good match." That's it.
