Venus and Serena and Injuries: Is Kerry Brooks to blame?

I mean, she IS their physical trainer, right? What sort of training advice is she giving Venus if Venus is playing with injured abdominals and one of the two of them seems to be injured in some respect or another at every tournament? I don't think she's a doctor, and I know Venus and Serena are adults and can play no matter what she advises them, but...

What do y'all think?

I don't know. Venus and Serena are their own women and I can't see them just doing what someone says. I think they are stubborn so I don't know. I'm sure they take full responsibilities for their own actions.

the trainer is not out there with the player during a tennis match. their injuries have all occurred during matches. if they got injured in the gym i would blame the trainer. i once strained my rotator cuff in the gym while stretching with a trainer -- as far as i was concerned it was her fault bec she was stretching me too far. however when i twisted my ankle running for a wide forehand during a tournament, i didn't blame her. that was my responsibility.

fuck no! omg. for real. Kerry has SAVED them numerous times. 2002 Australian keeps in mine...Venus shouldn't have played after round 2, but Kerry was on it, and allowed her to play into the QF

Venus and Serena are both big girls who hit the ball hard and run fast.

Injuries will always be a problem.
