Who here has been to Roland Garros?

On march 7th the commoners can begin applying for RG tickets. How hard is it to get tickets for the dates and courts you want?

The first days it's not difficult , you can buy tickets there. The finals is very difficult , you have to go to the 'blackmarket' But it's mostly 200-300-400 Euro. First days are the best, then you can see every one, and it's not to expensive

Tickets are very difficult, almost impossible, to get for foreigners beforehand. Usually you have to buy them from the ticket touts, although, apparently last year they were selling tickets for most days inside the grounds, so if you could get hold of a ticket to get inside once, you could then buy tickets for other days.

I know lol but I meant a hostel, which is so close that I don't need subway or bus to reach the courts

I'm American and I went when I was studying abroad in 2002. They had tickets available to the women's semifinals available still on the 2nd day of the qualifying tournament (I went there to see a Mirjana Lucic match).

I got decent seats for something ridiculously cheap like 37 euros.

That might be your best bet for getting affordable tickets -- go maybe on the first day of the qualifications and check out the ticket office to see what's left...

Don't worry about where to stay in Paris... I was literally across the city from Roland Garros and it was only a 25 minute metro ride...
