I guess most of us were wrong in the poll. I'm sure most of us were assuming Venus wouldn't be injured...

Dreadful match, and yes, I'm saying that without having watched it.

The only injury that should prevent Venus from beating the Silvia Farina Elias of the world is a broken right arm. She just didn't show up today, and she has no one to blame but herself.

That and the injury is why she lost.

Hopefully she will be better for Miami as she has QF points to defend there.

Well anyone who assumed Venus wouldn't be injured or lose in Fantasy Tennis have their work cut out for them. Good match from Farina. Venus has never played very well at Dubai for her standards. Time to reconsider playing here next year.

I knew Sylvia had it in her. That Antwerp loss must have destroyed the little confidence Venus had left. Is this Venu's first 1st rd loss in her career?

That was one very weird match. One clearly bothered by injury and other just refusing to finishing off that match.

btw. I have never seen Venus serving sooo slooow

Just pathetic all around.

Just when you think Venus is improving, she fools us again.

I honestly hope there was some type of an injury to explain this play from her, otherwise she should be ashamed of herself.
