Yep, I forgot that one.
It should be there instead of Venus vs. Sprem.

Please vote "Other" if you want to vote for Justine vs. Jen, US Open 2003.

Other, Venus d. Serena Wimbledon Semis 2000, because of all of the hype and then the match-fixing allegations

Graf-Novotna Wimledon has the most drama for me - because Novotna really deserved it to win finally a GrandSlam
the Hingis/Graf match at RolandGarros is overrated based on Drama
because there was no real Drama - the match has a great story and was really entertaining - but Drama

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

You may have heard of John Barrett from the BBC.
He has watched a tennis match or two during his long, long career.
Let's hear what he had to say about the FO 99 final:

"In spite of an injured foot that put her out of the Fed Cup and
Hamburg, Graf returned to action in Berlin but lost to the
Frenchwoman Julie Halard-Decugis in the quarter-finals.
That loss might easily have persuaded her to abandon her plans
for another crack at the French Open, where she had won the
first of her 21 grand slam titles just before her 18th birthday
in 1987.

Had she decided to quit, we would have been denied the most
dramatic occasion I have witnessed on a tennis court. ...
Facing her in the final that day in Paris was Martina Hingis, ..."

Enough said.

like i said, the match has a great story. and it is like a fairy tale for SteffiGraf to win another GrandSlam title after all the injuries and bad result before the FrenchOpen, but she would have still a great Champion without this title.

But for Novotna it was way more important for her career to win finally a GrandSlam Torunament, and so it was real Drama for her and her career that she lost this match. thats Drama for me - maybe we both have different views on what "Drama" means.
