Molik is playing like a top 5 player

Do you think she's capable of winning a slam? I do. She's got a great all-court game that could do well at Wimbledon or the USO.

Yes, but she still has to improve her backhand and movement in order to do so.

all you have to look at is the race and she is right you there. she is behind serena, maria, lindsay and probably amelie (not in the race but performance wise now)

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

She already has a tier 2 title this year. She's beaten 2 top 10 players this year, her only 2 losses have come against the world number 1 and 2, and there are at least 3 girls in front of her that she would probably start favourite against given both her and their current form.

Id say anythings possible. Maybe some of the stats gurus could come up with what kinda points she is defending leading up to roland garros.

not necessarily, she has to make her strengths stronger. I am a firm believer in surviving your weaknesses and strengthening you strenghts.
If venus works on her strenghts like the serve, movement, net game and bh, then her forehand won't be such a liablity.
Everyone talks about dementieva's serve, but really that is not what got her to the slam finals last year, but the rest of her game did. Her losses were more mental than serve related, loss of confidence equals wayward serve. I have said before, she beat better player, better returners than the players she lost to. consider this who can best exploit her serves than jen, lindsay and amelie.
serena's biggest prob. are errors but she doesn't dwell on them, she works on the rest of her strenghts, that gives a better result.
alicia has a fantastic serve and a great forehand, strengthening this will only make her better.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

Pleased for her... can definately win a slam or three - USO or Wimbledon, maybe AO.

With regard to RG, looking at her major rivals only Henin (or is it enna?) & Mauresmo have games suited to the clay. Of these, the former has serious long-term fitness concerns, and the latter has ongoing serious mental issues.

I think Molik stands at least as good a chance of winning the French in the future as do flat hitting baseliners like Serena Scattergun or Queen Sharapoo.

Henin......Myskina......Agy

I disagree. Serena is much faster than Molik, therefore allowing her to win the FO. Molik does not have the quickness that Serena, or even that Sharapova have.

Of course she can win slams! She is on fire, she has a great game, a game that can still only get better if she keeps working hard. She has heaps of confidence, and already has some great wins this year.... of course she can win slams!!

She's playing better than 3 top 5 players - or looks more likely to actually win even if they are playing well in the first set. That leaves one she beat at the end of last year and one who who still seems injury prone and might fall to a player who doesn't fade in the second set.
