"The Most Famous Female Athlete in the World"

Cliff Drysdale refferred to Serena Williams as that last night during the telecast of the Williams-Mauresmo match. Which naturally got me to thinking, 'is that true?'

Possibly not the most famous female athlete in the world - but right now she is still probably the most famous female tennis player in the world.

Hmm... I think I'd have to give that title to Michelle Kwan. However, I might be wrong.
