It used to always be Na Li, but lately certain people have been writing it backwards. Just in the interest of clarity, which is correct?
Well I think it has been said a million times... Li is her Family (surname) name.
In the Chinese way of calling name, they do it with the surname first, so it's Li Na.
However, since in most countries, people put the surname behind, (eg Maria Sharapova), so I guess, those who don't know the chinese rule would refer to her as Na Li and those who do know her, will prefer to call her in the Chinese way.
The same case for Zheng Jie/Jie Zheng.
Maybe she should just get an English name like Lina, so we can call her Lina Li to avoid confusion.
Don't be deceived by the rankings!! Coria, Mirnyi, Schuettler, Fish, Safin, Henman, Tursunov, Wawrinka, Federer, Serena, Bovina, Li Na, Dementieva, Zvonareva, Sugiyama, Coetzer, Tanasugarn, Kumkhum, Zheng, Dokic and Kournikova are the world's best tennis players!!!
